Helpful hints to keep your plumber happy.

When changing taps its nice if I can get at them so please clear all products etc. from under sinks, around baths and basins (it cost time if I have to move them and your hard earned money).

Please try and find out where your stopcock is, and if it works (usually under the sink). It can be very vexing for me if I have to track it down

Any breakables that you value should be moved to a safe place away from the work area so as to avoid any accidents.

When phoning or leaving messages please let me know your name, address, post code, phone no. and if possible a good description of the problem.

If you insist on making deals, please make them before the job is started and don't try and change it while the work is in progress, this only serves to make me annoyed and leads to unnecessary unpleasantness.

And finally, it's always nice to be offered a cup of tea now and then, (no one wants a plumber dying of dehydration).
